Preschool teachers, daycare providers and kindergarten teachers can find a mine full of preschool plans on the net. You too can find plans to make music, learn alphabets, animal themed plans and much more.

Music Plans

Music preschool plans are a great hit with teachers and students alike. You can begin by collecting various items from your home. I am sure you will find items like, marbles, bells, paperclips, pencils, and other small items lying around your home. Put them in a box and then shake it. Now ask your pre kindergarten students what they think is in the box.

Another great music plan involves collecting rocks. Collect rocks of various sizes. The kids will love to help you out on this one. After you and your preschoolers have collected sufficient rocks, you can pick up various rocks of different sizes and bang them together. Obviously you would be doing this one pair at a time. Now ask your preschooler whether different rocks make different sounds. If they answer yes, ask them how the sounds are different.

Another fun music plan that you can do with your preschooler is to have them communicate by singing. If they want to say or express something, let them do it through singing.

These music plans will help your preschoolers-

• To differentiate between different sounds.
• They will learn to identify where these different sounds are coming from.
• They will learn how to create music using their own voices.

Life Cycle Of A Butterfly

Science related activities for preschool are also quite popular. Science preschool plans help kids understand the nature around them. It develops their creative energy and brings out the explorer in them. There are many such plans available. One of my favorite is identifying the life cycle of a butterfly. You would need the following materials-

• Several butterfly patterns
• Spiral pasta to represent a caterpillar
• Shell pasta to represent the chrysalis
• Bow tie pasta to represent a butterfly
• Small pasta to represent an egg of a butterfly
• Colors
• Glue

First, ask your preschoolers what they know about butterflies and whether they have seen or touched one. Ask them about various stages in the life of a butterfly. Now show them how an egg becomes a butterfly. Discuss each stage in detail with the help of the materials that you have. Now ask each of them make their own butterfly and decorate it. At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to understand the four stages in a butterfly's life.

Trip To A Farm
Most kids love animals, so you can plan a pre K learning farm trip to familiarize the kids with various farm animals. Let them ask the farmer all the questions they want to ask. Then when they come back to the school, you can create a barn like environment in the classroom. For example, add small farm animals, toy tractors, trucks, etc. Then discuss all that they learned at the farm. This is a fun activity where the kids too get to learn a lot.

Teaching preschoolers is both- very challenging and very rewarding. You are teaching these kids their very first lessons in life. If you manage to make it fun and exciting for these kids, they will enjoy learning. So choose the preschool plans carefully and watch what a great learning experience it is for everyone involved.

Preschool: Toddler Innocence Or Wisdom
Innocence: It is an absence of guilt; harmless; freedom from evil; lack of worldly experience; not recognizing the harmful intentions of other. This is the definition of innocence according to the Encarta Dictionary. These days it's difficult to find true innocence in the world, but if you have ever watched a month-old puppy sleeping or gazed into the eyes of a toddler-aged child you can still see it. At that age, everything is new and exciting, not routine and boring such as for the rest of us who have become jaded over the years.

Little kids, especially barely verbal kids, watch and listen to everything. All kinds of things fascinate them; the graceful motion of goldfish, the gentle waving of tall grasses, the color yellow, and the bouncing of a beach ball. All the things adults take for granted, toddlers find endlessly amazing. They believe everything we tell them; they have no concept of lying, or even fanciful jest. Myths, childhood legends, make-believe, wonderful fantasies of all sorts and even bogeymen that lurk in their closets at night are all real to them. Kids believe it just because we say it. Like the sleeping puppy, their total absence of guile seems to last such a short time! This innocence seems to vanish within the first few years of their lives, never to be reclaimed.

the ways of the world, this knowledge can sometimes be disappointing. There's no such thing as Santa Claus or Superman. The tiny puppy grew into a big dog that bites if its ears are yanked. Grandmother died - she isn't "sleeping." And there are monsters, but they don't live in the closet at night; they are teachers and babysitters and the nice man next door who has some strange pictures of naked kids.

As their innocence is depleted, little kids simply accept the world as it is, not as it should be as adults often do. This is another example of a child's wisdom; things are what they are. A hurricane blew our house away. Some people who live far away don't like us, and they hurt a lot of people in New York. Many people, even kids, get really sick and they go to live with God where they won't be sick anymore. My Mommy and Daddy don't live in the same house.

Strange, isn't it? Even when they know the truth, little kids still have the wisdom to tell it like it is and cope with it, whatever "it" may be. They don't have ulcers, drink too much alcohol, or brood about ways to take revenge on someone who hurt them. They trust that they'll have food to eat and clothes to wear. They don't worry about paying the mortgage; they just put their toys away before bed like Mommy said. As adults, it seems incredible that we too were once as innocent as our youngest children are now. Then life happened - so did divorce, addiction, unemployment, war and illness.

Only a foolish and cynical adult would carelessly shrug and say, "That's just how it will be for them, too." We hope our children will inherit a better world, but we know they probably won't. As they gracefully surrender the innocence of youth, they inherit the wisdom of the years. If our toddlers can do this without becoming jaded, angry and bitter, then this is wisdom indeed. In the end, perhaps they are still innocent.

Preschool Lunch Idea-Mini Pizza’s

A yummy quick lunch that is sure to please everyone’s tummy is mini pizzas.
English Muffins (pre-sliced) Whole Wheat preferred if available.

Store Bought Tomato Sauce for Pizza

Pepperoni

Mozzarella Cheese (already grated)

Spoon

Baking Sheet

Popsicle Sticks

Ready to Serve Cut up Veggies (carrots, celery, and cucumber-all three, or just one or two kinds.)

Ranch Dressing

This is a lunch that everyone can help prepare. It is fun to make, quick to cook, and everyone can enjoy it.

Split the English muffins in half. Give each child two halves (one whole English muffin). Go around and put one spoonful of sauce on each English muffin half for each child. Allow the children to spread the sauce with the popsicle sticks provided.

Give each child 5-6 pieces of pepperoni and allow them to arrange them however they like on top of the sauce.

Next, give each child a handful of cheese that they can sprinkle on each English muffin halve.

Put the English muffins on a baking sheet and place them in a preheated 350ºF oven until the cheese is melted and just starting to turn golden.

While the pizzas are cooking you can sing some of the preschool children’s favorite songs and read a book or two, being aware of how the pizzas are doing at all times though.

When they are ready, with oven mitts, take out the pizzas and allow to cool for 3-5 minutes. Then place the pizzas on plates for the children with some ready to eat cut up veggies and ranch dressing for dipping.

This great preschool lunch idea is great served with milk or juice.

But the security of their own home, or a caregiver's home, still has plenty to offer in terms of a big enough and busy enough environment for early learning.
