3 Easy Preschool Christmas Games

3 Easy Preschool Christmas Games

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. With these preschool Christmas games, preschoolers can have a white Christmas no matter where they live. All you need are a few bags of baking flour and some Christmas toys to create a magical winter wonderland right in your very own home this holiday season. Preschoolers will be absolutely thrilled with these preschool Christmas games and will keep them entertained for hours.

Snow Angels

Materials Needed:

Six Bags of flour
Clear plastic container
Holiday cookie cutters
Miniature holiday figures (Christmas trees, Santa Claus, etc.)

Instructions:

Pour the flour into the plastic container. How much flour you need depends on the size of your container. You will want the flour to cover the entire bottom of the container and be at least two inches deep.
Arrange the Christmas figures in the "snow."
Your holiday indoor snow is now ready.
Let your preschooler run his/her hands through the "snow" and play with the holiday figures.
Preschoolers will also have fun making snow angels, etc. with the cookie cutters.

Frosty Snowball Toss Game

Materials Needed:

Cardboard cutout of Frosty the Snowman and cut a hole in his stomach
Snowballs made of plastic bags and put mini marshmallows inside / Styrofoam balls

Instructions:

Kids love toss games, so why not create a snowball toss game at Frosty's belly?
Have the children stand a distance back from Frosty (you can determine this depending on the age of the children and space you have available) and have them toss the snowballs into Frosty's tummy.
First one to get all 3 snowballs in the tummy wins a prize!
Santa Says

Materials Needed:

None

Instructions:

Same as 'Simon Says'.
The teacher can be "Santa".
The teacher says "Santa says hop".
All preschoolers have to hop.
Teacher says "Stop".
All preschoolers should continue hopping on until "Santa" says "Santa says stop".
Repeat for other actions such as jump, run, turn around, sit down, stand up, hands up/down, star jump, etc.
